(aminomethyl)phosphonic acid is a member of the class of phosphonic acids that is phosphonic acid substituted by an aminomethyl group. It is a metabolite of the herbicide glyphosate.

Daily-intake limits

AMPA is glyphosate's main breakdown product. The EPA and EFSA limits are defined for the combined glyphosate + AMPA residue, so AMPA is evaluated together with glyphosate rather than against its own limit.
